Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Best Bumper & Parts Service Inc. ("Best Bumper", "we") collects through bestbumperpartsservice.com and our internal tools, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account details: your name, email address and a password, which we store only as a one-way hash.
• Orders: the parts ordered, shipping and billing addresses, email, and the IP address the order came from, which we use to screen for fraud.
• Payments: card and PayPal payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal. We never see or store full card numbers; we keep only the payment reference they return.
• Your cart: kept in your own browser until you check out.
• Sign-in: a session cookie keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

QuickBooks Online data

Our staff tools connect to our own company's QuickBooks Online account, with our authorization, to show which parts we have in stock. Through that connection we read our company name and our inventory items (item name, SKU, description, quantity on hand, sales price and purchase cost). We only read: we never create, change or delete anything in QuickBooks.

• The data is used only to look up our own stock while quoting and filling orders. It is not sold, shared or used for advertising.
• It is stored on our company-managed server, available only to our signed-in administrators, and replaced with QuickBooks' current figures every 15 minutes.
• The QuickBooks connection keys are encrypted (AES-256) before they are stored.
• Disconnecting QuickBooks, from our admin area or from QuickBooks itself, revokes our access and deletes the copied inventory data.

How we use information

• To process, ship and support your orders, and to send order emails.
• To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
• To price and source parts from our suppliers.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed to run the business:

• Stripe and PayPal, to take payment.
• Our email provider, to send order and account emails.
• The parts supplier shipping your order, which receives the shipping details it needs.
• Our backup storage provider, which holds encrypted copies of our database.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

Security and retention

Access to the site is encrypted (HTTPS). Staff tools require an administrator account. Database backups are encrypted before they leave our server. We keep order records as long as the law and our accounting require, and account details until you ask us to delete them.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete your personal information, or close your account, by emailing bestbumper.brandon@gmail.com. We may keep what we must for legal or accounting reasons.

Children

The site is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the new version here.
